Editorial policy
The guides are written by the LinkGulf editorial team, meaning the people who operate the site. We are not lawyers. The text is a practical reading of published statutes, not a ruling and not advice on your case.
The source is an official text, linked at the end of the guide when we have one: the Saudi Labour Law on the Bureau of Experts site, HRSD materials, Qiwa, Absher, Mudad, UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, MOHRE, and the UAE government pages on Emiratisation. We cite the article number. We do not invent rates, applicant counts, or “studies”.
Where an official English translation disagrees with the Arabic text, we follow the Arabic and say so. Saudi working hours are one case: the Arabic text is eight hours or forty-eight a week, not the figure in an older English rendering.
A “last reviewed” date of 7 September 2026 means the page stood in the September pass and was not rewritten on 9 October 2026. A date of 9 October 2026 means the page was written or revised that day. The date is not a fake publication stamp applied to every guide at once.
The calculator is an estimate from the articles as written, on a 30-day month. It is not a ministry decision. What you type stays in the browser and does not reach us. If the wage on the registered contract differs, the contract is what gets counted. The method is on the calculator page.
Job listings are not editorial copy. We gather them from Bayt and NaukriGulf and link them to the source, and those pages stay out of the index. We do not review every advert before it appears.
A mistake in a figure, an article, or a translation: write to [email protected]. We correct the page and update the review date. A reply is not advice on your case.
